SWFBT looks back at 2023, ahead to 2024  

Here we are looking at the holidays AND the final issue of Southwest Florida Business Today 
(SWFBT) for 2023: we’re now in our 17th year of publication!
 
SWFBT is “wrapping up” this year with its annual big finish, including your Hurricane Ian 
survival and success stories, in our “Looking Back, Looking Ahead” edition. High resolution
photos are welcome, no web images please.

So share your year-end “business wrap-up” and 2024 “business forecast” with the local
business community (300 words)–it’s coming up fast with a guest column deadline of
5pm Wednesday November 8 and an ad proof and space reservation deadline of 5pm
Friday November 10. I can take system ready ad material up till noon Monday, Nov 13.

Kick off your business week with “Moore About Business,” by tuning in to the Southwest
Florida PBS and National Public Radio (NPR) affiliate, WGCU radio at 90.1 FM, airing
on either “Morning Edition” or “All Things Considered” the first day of each work week
to hear SWFBT founder, owner and publisher Karen P. Moore share information and in-
sights for and about our local business community.

On February 20, 2023, when Moore’s radio segment regarding the future of development
of Fort Myers Beach was posted to social media, it received more than 50,000 hits—one

the business week, is where our digital version of the newspaper, 2024 Deadline Calendar, 
popular online B2B Events Calendar and timely news and information that is not included
in the print edition—are available to you anytime of the day or night to help you with your
business! You can also post news items there.

DRIVERS WANTED
 
SWFBT is hiring delivery drivers Due to recent expansion, we currently seek a part-time
driver for our Naples, Estero and Cape Coral routes. The position offers flexibility as a nice
side gig for some extra cash, while serving in a role that is crucial to SWFBT’s continued
growth and success. The driver works 2-3 business days per month, per route. Deliveries
are made from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Access to a computer and computer printer preferred.
