PUSHING THE ENVELOPE PREPARES TO LAUNCH 12TH ANNUAL CAN IT! CAMPAIGN FOOD DRIVE

Drop-Off Locations Sought For 2022 Food Drive

FORT MYERS, Fla. – Sept. 20, 2022 – Pushing the Envelope, Inc. (PTE) is seeking drop-off locations to participate in their 12th Annual CAN IT! Campaign food drive set to launch on Saturday, Oct. 15. This drive was created to help area residents in need and will benefit Community Cooperative (CCI). PTE has set a collection goal of 3,500 non-perishable food items this year.

While PTE has collected an estimated 20,000 pounds of food since starting the CAN IT! Campaign 12 years ago, hunger remains an ongoing problem in Southwest Florida. PTE’s CAN IT! food drive aims to feed families throughout the area for the holiday season and beyond.

To serve as a drop-off location, businesses are simply asked to provide an area where the public can drop off non-perishable food items between Saturday, Oct. 15, and Tuesday, Nov. 15, during their regular business hours. They are also encouraged to collect donations from their staff and customers as well if they choose.

All CAN IT! 2022 drop-off locations will receive materials for promoting the food drive and will be recognized in all publicity, social media posts, and on the website. Instructions for delivering the collected items at the campaign’s end will also be provided. There is no cost associated with participating.

Individuals or businesses interested in donating or serving as a drop-off location this holiday season, may call (239) 221- 2858 or email [email protected] or visit https://www.getpushing.com/community/can-it/ for more information.
