Jennifer’s Women’s Boutique Host Annual Food Drive to Support Community Cooperative’s “School’s Out, Hunger’s Not” Campaign

FORT MYERS, Fla. (May 31, 2024) – Jennifer’s women’s boutique is partnering with Community Cooperative for the 12th year in a row as part of their “School’s Out, Hunger’s Not” campaign, throughout the month of June. Jennifer’s Woman’s Boutique is calling on their valued customers to join them in collecting canned food donations to end summer hunger.

From June 1st to June 30th, shoppers who donate a minimum of 10 canned food items will receive a 20% discount on their total purchase. “Community Cooperative has been working tirelessly to meet the growing need for food and resources in our community,” said Jennifer Williams, owner of Jennifer’s. “This is our twelfth year hosting a summer food drive for Community Cooperative so they can continue their important work to feed people and nourish lives.”

“Hunger doesn’t take a summer break,” said Community Cooperative’s CEO Stefanie Ink-Edwards. “Thousands of Lee County children face food insecurity year-round, and summer can be the hardest time of year for many families we serve. We appreciate the support of local businesses like Jennifer’s.”

Some suggested items to donate include but are not limited to canned food, beans, whole wheat pasta, brown rice, soup, apple juice, cereal, macaroni & cheese, and childhood-friendly snacks.
