‘We the Jeepers’ Volunteers to Deliver Meals on Wheels Routes this Memorial Day

FORT MYERS, Fla. (May 24, 2024) – Community Cooperative is thrilled to have “We the Jeepers,” a group of Jeep enthusiasts, step up to volunteer for Meals on Wheels routes this Memorial Day. This generous act of community service allows for some of Community Cooperative’s regular Meals on Wheels drivers to enjoy a well-deserved day off while ensuring that the critical need to feed our community members continues.

While celebrating Memorial Day, it’s essential to remember that the need to provide meals to those who are homebound does not take a break. Thanks to the compassionate members of “We the Jeepers,” meals will still be delivered to those who rely on this service.

“We are incredibly grateful to “We the Jeepers” for their dedication and generosity,” said Stefanie Ink Edwards, CEO of Community Cooperative. “Their support not only helps us maintain our commitment to feeding those in need and supporting the homebound but also highlights the spirit of community and service that Memorial Day embodies.”

Volunteers from “We the Jeepers” will be taking over some of the Meals on Wheels delivery routes, bringing not only nutritious meals but also smiles and companionship to those Community Cooperative serves. Community Cooperative is always looking for volunteers to support their mission.
