(August 26, 2024) – Community Cooperative is excited to invite individuals to join their dedicated team of volunteers as they work toward their mission of ending hunger and homelessness in our community. Community Cooperative offers a variety of meaningful volunteer opportunities across multiple programs, each designed to make a tangible impact on those in need.

Volunteer Opportunities:

  • Community Market: Assist in distributing food and essential items to families in need within our local community.
  • Mobile Food Pantries: Help provide supplemental groceries directly to underserved neighborhoods, ensuring that every household has access to vital resources.
  • Food Literacy in People Program: Educate children and adults on nutrition and healthy eating habits to empower them toward self-sufficiency.
  • Meals on Wheels: Deliver fresh meals to homebound individuals, providing not just nourishment but also a vital connection to the community.
  • Able Garden: Support their urban garden by enhancing its beautification and promote the growth of fresh produce for distribution.
  • Sam’s Community Cafe & Kitchen: Volunteer in Sam’s Community Café & Kitchen, serving hot meals and offering a welcoming space for social interaction and support.
