Beginning his lifelong musical journey at the age of six, Stephen Marley shared some
historic stages with his legendary father, Bob, and toured the world with his brother
Ziggy and sisters Cedella and Sharon, The Melody Makers. The Tuff Gong (Bob
Marley’s nickname) instilled a strict work ethic and an awareness in all his children
that “music is way more than just music.”

Over the past 45 years, Stephen has won no fewer than eight Grammy Awards – three
with The Melody Makers, three times as a solo artist, and twice as a producer of his
younger brother, Damian Marley. Every one of his solo projects to date has topped the
Billboard Reggae charts.

Stephen released his latest album “Old Soul” in September 2023 and it is his first full-length
project since 2016. Featuring a stellar line-up of special guests including Bob Weir, Eric
Clapton, Jack Johnson, Ziggy Marley, Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley, Buju Banton, and Slightly
Stoopid, “Old Soul” comes as a complete revelation. While grounded from the road during the
COVID lockdown, Stephen set up a new studio on a remote family farm in the Florida country-
side, holding nightly jam sessions in a converted garage. With a stripped-down ensemble
comprising binghi drums, bass, acoustic guitar, and flute, Stephen played whatever he felt like,
ranging from original compositions and reggae rarities with deep personal meaning to classics
recorded by Ray Charles, Frank Sinatra, and The Beatles.

“Old Soul” explores a musical palette that spans a variety of cultures and genres alike, with hand-
selected special guests furthering the spiritual journey that encompasses the album.

Anyone familiar with Inner Circle’s history in the reggae field and their immense popularity around
the world knows that there’s much more to Inner Circle than what meets the eye. Indeed, this Jamaican-
bred, Grammy-winning quintet is one of the world’s most respected reggae groups with a long string of
successes stretching back to the mid-1970s.

Inner Circle’s special brand of pop-oriented Jamaican beats and energy -filled live performances have
allowed the band to transcend the traditional reggae niche and enjoy widespread crossover appeal. A
testament to this is the fact that Inner Circle plays at many of the world’s largest music festivals-head-
lining alongside such towering pop and rock music icons as Elton John, Peter Gabriel, Van Morrison,
Sinead O’Conner, The Black Crowes, Jimmy Page, Robert Plant, Carlos Santana, and many others.
Inner Circle’s hit songs include “Bad Boys” (the theme from the television show “Cops”), “Summer
Jammin’,” “Sweat (A La La La La Long),” “Mary, Mary,” and “Music Machine.”
