FORT MYERS, FL – Jan.30, 2018: Ronald McDonald House Charities® (RMHC) of Southwest Florida is pleased to announce the arrival of a second Ronald McDonald Care Mobile in Southwest Florida.
The mission of the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile® Program is to improve the health status of children in Southwest Florida. In partnership with Family Health Centers (FHC) of Southwest Florida, the Care Mobile will provide medical and dental treatment to the unserved and underserved children in Lee, Charlotte, Glades and Hendry counties.
Services on board the Care Mobile will include dental screenings, treatment and sealants as well as medical, vision, hearing, health education and nutritional care.
“In partnership with Healthcare Network of Southwest Florida, our Care Mobile Program has served more than 3,000 children annually in Collier County,” said Laura Ragain, RMHC executive director. “We are delighted to have found a partner with Family Health Centers to expand the program to include Lee, Charlotte, Glades and Hendry counties.”
“This has been a long time coming,” said Frank Mazzeo, Jr., DDS, CEO of Family Health Centers. “The Care Mobile fits perfectly with our mission to improve the health status of children by providing accessible, affordable, quality healthcare.”
Adds Ragain, “We want to give a special thanks to Grampy’s Charities for its commitment to provide ongoing support to our Care Mobile Program.”
With a launch date of January, 2018, the plan is to serve approximately 2,700 children, ages 5-11, in the first year.

RMHC fulfills this mission through three core programs: Ronald McDonald House, Ronald McDonald Family Room® and Ronald McDonald Care Mobile.
