FORT MYERS, Fla. (August 27, 2018) – The Florida Trust for Historic Preservation has appointed Mike Cosden, Executive Vice President at the Edison & Ford Winter Estates to its Board of Trustees. In this role, he will support the Florida Trust’s mission to promote the preservation of the architectural, historical and archaeological heritage of Florida through advocacy, education and stewardship.
“The Florida Trust is thrilled Mike has joined our organization as a Trustee,” said Friederike Mittner, Florida Trust Board President. “Our Trustees ensure the organization’s mission of preserving Florida’s extraordinary architectural, historical and archeological heritage. Mike’s expertise at a world class cultural institution will add depth and a great new perspective to our vision.”
Founded in 1978, the organization is dedicated to protecting Florida’s heritage and history. It has worked to save important sites, such as the Florida capitol, serves as a steward for historic Florida properties and is a partner of the National Trust for Historic Preservation. Participation with Florida Trust will help keep Edison Ford better connected to the national preservation community and expand efforts to preserve history and culture in Florida.
