HEALTHY LEE JUNE NEWSLETTER

June is Alzheimer’s & Brain Awareness Month

Alzheimer’s and Brain Awareness Month is an opportunity to join the global
conversation about the brain, Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias. Everyone
is at risk to develop Alzheimer’s, a fatal disease that cannot be prevented, cured or

Healthy Lee and Lee Health Hurricane Food Supply
Donation Program
Health and Wellness

To help in the fight against hunger in our communities, Lee Health launched its Surplus
Hurricane Supply Food Donation program in June 2022. Developed by Healthy Lee, the
initiative safely diverts hospital food to organizations that feed people who are food
insecure, which means they lack consistent access to enough food for every person in
their home to live an active, healthy life.

The photo above represents the most recent example of the program.
