FORT MYERS, FLA., September 22, 2022 – Handbag Happy Hour returns to Fort Myers Thursday, November 17, with high-end designer handbags and lots more to be auctioned to benefit The Nature Park Environmental Education Foundation at The Shell Factory.

“We are so excited to bring this fabulous event back again this year,” said Pam Cronin, event chair and owner of The Shell Factory and Nature Park. “We have more than 100 new and previously loved handbags from celebrities and local supporters.”

Cronin and her committee are currently soliciting new and gently loved handbags and men’s accessories that can be brought to a collection party Tuesday, Oct. 4, at Nevermind Awesome Bar, 927 Cape Coral Parkway. The collection party begins at 5:17 p.m. and includes appetizers and beverages.

“This is a great opportunity for fashionistas everywhere to clean out their closets and bring those gently loved handbags to the party and mingle with other handbag aficionados,” said Jennifer Nelson, who is recruiting sponsorships for the main event on November 17.

Handbag Happy Hour will be located in the lobby and Players Circle Theatre, located at the Shell Factory in North Fort Myers.

“Slipping into the Season” is the theme for this year’s event, which will create the holiday spirit and set the mood for the evening.

Cronin and Nelson emphasized that Handbag Happy Hour is a fund-raising event for both men and women. As a special added attraction for men, a Cigar & Whiskey Bar will be set up, which also is available for sponsorship.

Adult and holiday beverages and appetizers are included in the ticket price of $75 per person.

Tickets may be purchased online at or 239.995.2141 extension 110. For sponsorship information, contact Jennifer Nelson at 239-826-0556.
All proceeds will benefit The Nature Park Environmental Education Foundation, which provides transportation funding for Lee County school children to visit the park. All donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.
