FORT MYERS, Fla. (January 26, 2018) — On February 10, Edison & Ford Winter Estates will host its monthly Rhythm on the River music celebration with the Gulf Coast Symphony at 6 p.m. in the river pavilion. The orchestra will perform “Swinging with the Symphony,” a program of symphonic big band music of the 1930s and 1940s.
Dr. Andrew Kurtz, the symphony’s music director and conductor, founded the symphony in 1996. It is a premier community orchestra in Southwest Florida and recognized as one of the most dynamic community orchestras in the United States.
The Edison Ford river pavilion offers a beautiful river view and a chance to see a spectacular sunset. A limited number of seats will be provided; guests are encouraged to bring a folding chair. Visitors are also encouraged to bring a jacket or blanket as the event will be outdoors.
Event tickets are $25 or $20 for Edison Ford members. A cash bar will be available. For more information or to purchase tickets online, visit EdisonFordWinterEstates.org or call 239-334-7419.
