GOLF TOURNAMENT TO BENEFIT CHILDREN’S MUSEUM ANNOUNCED AT THE STRAND

CMON’s second annual golf scramble will be held on Saturday, May 11

NAPLES, Florida (April 3, 2024) – Golisano Children’s Museum of Naples (CMON) will host its second annual golf scramble fundraiser on Saturday, May 11, to benefit the museum’s mission to provide an exciting, inspiring environment where children and their families play, learn, and dream together.

This year’s event will be held at The Strand’s championship golf course designed by renowned architect Gordon Lewis. The Strand opened in 1997, and features three 9-hole courses; Savannah, Sabal and Preserve. Each course offers its own distinct challenges. The Savannah and Sabal courses played host to the LPGA Subaru of Naples Invitational from 1998-2000.

Tournament check in and continental breakfast will begin at 7:30 a.m. with a shotgun start to follow at 8:30 a.m. Following golf, the event will conclude with lunch and awards. Additional sponsorship opportunities are available. Contact Laura Richardson Bright at [email protected] or 239-260-1604 for details. Golfer registration is open and can be found online at cmon.org/events/golf.

About Golisano Children’s Museum of Naples
Golisano Children’s Museum of Naples is a brain-building powerhouse and Southwest Florida’s first museum devoted for children and families to learn through play. With hands-on exhibit galleries, the accessible museum invites visitors of all ages to journey through the swamps of the Everglades, weave through a maze, climb a two-story banyan tree, or experiment with the water play station. Children can become a weather forecaster, a farmer, a chef, a fisherman, an artist, an architect, or a veterinarian; explore the cold of an igloo, the whoosh of the wind, the sound of the sea, and the effects of gravity. Throughout the day special activities encourage our guests to get involved, try something new and be energized. CMON offers a variety of interactive exhibits providing kids with education, play, learning, science, technology, engineering, inventions, space exploration, art, math, storybooks, creation, building, sensory, and child development.
