Floral Arranging Classes Offered at Edison and Ford Winter Estates

 
FORT MYERS, Fla. (March 17, 2023) — Edison and Ford Winter Estates offers many opportunities throughout the year for residents and guests to learn how to make floral arrangements. Classes can be purchased as gifts and offer an opportunity for friends and relatives to enjoy the day together. 

Registration is open for the following classes:

Dried Floral Arranging 
April 16, 10 a.m.                           
Participants will learn how to create and arrange a rustic bunch of dried blooms and be able to take home the creation to display for a very long time. Floral designer, Anita Singh will also cover tips and tricks for drying flowers. To ensure adequate supplies, registration is required. All materials are included. Students of all experience levels are welcome. Space is limited. Cost: Edison Ford members $75; non-members $85
 
Mother’s Day Floral Workshop 
May 7, 10 a.m.                          
This class will instruct participants how to create a decorative basket or vase filled with flowers. Taught by floral designer, Anita Singh, the class can be purchased as a gift for mothers, daughters, sisters or other special women. To ensure adequate supplies, registration is required. All flowers, tools, vessels and supplies will be provided, along with light refreshments and an apron. Students of all experience levels are welcome. Space is limited. Cost: Edison Ford members $75; non-members $85.

Edison and Ford Winter Estates
Edison and Ford Winter Estates is the internationally known winter home site of Thomas Edison and Henry Ford. More than 220,000 visitors walk through the location each year from all around the globe. The organization has received many awards, including the National Stewardship Award from the National Trust for Historic Preservation and the National Garden Clubs’ Historic Preservation Award. The property is an official project of “Save America’s Treasures,” a Florida Historic Landmark and a National Register Historic Site. The Edison Botanic Laboratory is a National Historic Chemical Landmark. The site is open every day except Thanksgiving and Christmas from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and until 9 p.m. during the month of December for Holiday Nights.
