The Story Behind The Songs

From Broadway to the West End: A Love Story is the story of how two actors met and fell in love while working on the A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder. Using songs from beloved Broadway hits and the Great American Songbook, Bryce Pinkham and Scarlett Strallen share their experiences performing in front of audiences around the world, as well as their personal stories about how they met and fell in love.

‘She Loves Me’ from She Loves Me

Bryce realizes that Scarlett is in love with him while she is performing Amalia in She Love Me in London. It’s also the show that introduced Bryce to Gulf Coast Symphony

‘Til There Was You’ from Music Man

Music Man is a show that has a special place in both of Scarlett and Bryce’s life path and now it’s a shared dream to do it together someday.

‘Can’t Take My Eyes Off of You’

The song describes the experience of seeing each other perform for the first time, Bryce in A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder, and Scarlett in Candide

‘You’re the Top’ from the musical Anything Goes

During the height of the pandemic, Scarlett, Bryce and their two babies drove across the country in a 1962 Winnebago. The trip culminated with singing this catchy tune and others for Bryce’s grandmother’s 100th birthday.
