FORT MYERS, Fla. (August 20, 2024) – Community Cooperative is thrilled to announce that Blair Fretwell, their esteemed Chief Financial Officer, has been appointed to the Board of Directors for the Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU) Alumni Association. This role marks a significant milestone in Blair’s journey, celebrating her longstanding connection with FGCU and her commitment to supporting both the university and its alumni community.

Blair, who graduated with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance in 2005, and a master’s in accounting and taxation in 2013, has always treasured the transformative experiences and top-notch education she received at FGCU. Her appointment to the Board is not just an honor but a testament to her dedication and passion for supporting her alma mater.

In her new role on the Board, Blair is dedicated to advancing several key initiatives. She aims to further educate alumni on the importance of philanthropy, emphasizing the vital role of giving back to ensure FGCU’s continued growth and success. Additionally, she will support student retention by advocating for initiatives that encourage talented graduates to remain in our local community. She is committed to promoting Eagle Spirit by actively participating in community and university events to foster a strong sense of alumni pride and representation.
