Community Cooperative Announces Participation in the Annual Edison Festival

of Light Grand Parade

FORT MYERS, Fla. (February 8, 2024) – Community Cooperative is thrilled to announce its participation in the highly anticipated annual Edison Festival of Light Grand Parade. The parade is set to take place on Saturday, February 17, from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. As a prominent organization in the community, Community Cooperative is proud to join this tradition, as they march alongside fellow participants showcasing their organization and its mission of ending hunger and homelessness in Southwest Florida.

The Edison Festival of Light Grand Parade has grown into an annual tradition since February 1938 to honor Fort Myers’ most famous winter resident, Thomas Edison. The parade draws thousands to downtown Fort Myers to marvel at all the elaborate floats.

“We are thrilled and honored to be participating in the Edison Festival of Light Grand Parade this year,” said Stefanie Ink-Edwards, CEO of Community Cooperative. “This event holds a special place in our community, and we couldn’t be more excited to join in the festivities!”

As Community Cooperative prepares for the parade, participants can expect concerts, hymn sings, and their night parade, which attracts thousands of spectators estimated to go as high as 200,000 people. Community Cooperative looks forward to a memorable and joyous event.
