FORT MYERS, Fla. (May 13, 2021) – Child Care of Southwest Florida has hired experienced child care leader Yolanda Yslas to serve as center director at the P.A. Geraci Child Development Center in Fort Myers.
Yslas has worked in education since 1990, most recently serving as administrative coordinator for Child’s Path, where she handled education and immunization records, finances, attendance, medical forms, purchasing orders and other responsibilities. Prior roles include leadership positions at four early learning centers in Southwest Florida in addition to teaching positions with several private providers and the School District of Lee County.
“I have been in the field of education for over 31 years, but I am looking forward to my journey with CCSWFL,” Yslas said. “I believe that a strong foundation in social emotional development is the key to success in lifelong learning.”
Yslas is completing a degree program at Florida SouthWestern State College, where she is a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.

Located at 3713 Canal St. in Fort Myers, the P.A. Geraci Child Development Center serves children ages 6 weeks old to 8 years old, and is open from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays. The center is accredited by the National Accreditation Commission for Early Learning Leaders and is recognized as a five-star provider through the Early Learning Coalition of Southwest Florida and Gold Seal Quality Care Program through the Florida Department of Children and Families.
P.A. Geraci Child Development Center is currently enrolling students at all age levels, as well as the Florida Voluntary Prekindergarten Program and federal Head Start Program.
