Celebrating 30 Years of Style: Brodeur Carvell Fine Menswear of Fort Myers to Hold Ribbon Cutting in Honor of 30th Anniversary September 20, 2023

FORT MYERS, FL–Brodeur Carvell Fine Menswear of Fort Myers, Florida is proud to announce their 30th anniversary celebration event and ribbon cutting on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 from 4:30-6:30pm. Named Best of Gulfshore 2022 & 2023 by Gulfshore Life Magazine readers, this locally-owned business has been serving the Southwest Florida area with fine men’s clothing since 1993.

Owner Ron Brodeur, along with Personal Clothier Mike Smith, have decades of clothing experience and provide one-on-one service to their clients, along with a curated assortment of some of the finest men’s clothing brands available in the area – for both business and personal. These include Alberto, Brax, Peter Millar, Hagen, Robert Graham, Samuelsohn, Zanella and many more. Each brand is selected for its commitment to quality, style, & performance.

At Brodeur Carvell Fine Menswear clients find suits, sport jackets, trousers, casual pants, formal wear, dress shirts, sport shirts, jeans, t-shirts, hosiery, shoes, neck wear, accessories & fragrances for every occasion.

About the Event

Brodeur Carvell Fine Menswear has partnered with Greater Fort Myers Area Chamber of Commerce to hold this special ribbon cutting commemorating the company’s 30th anniversary and to share Ron’s newest location with past clients, business associates and members of the media.

The celebration will take place on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at the shop located at 6420 Plantation Park Court, #104 in Fort Myers from 4:30pm-6:30pm. This celebratory ribbon cutting event will include light appetizers and refreshments, as well as a preview of new arrivals for the upcoming season.

Members of the media are invited to arrive one hour prior to the event start time for a special Meet & Greet with Ron Brodeur, the shop’s owner. We are requesting members of the media to please RSVP to [email protected] before 9-6-23 so that we may plan accordingly.

Ron’s Story: 30 Years of Dedication

Ron Brodeur began his career in the early nineties as a Custom Clothier, providing impeccable service to professionals in their offices and homes. Growing from a home office to a showroom setting, Ron continued to cater to his expanding clientele. Ron’s dedication to the local community, exemplified by his active involvement with the Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Club, P.O.L.O. Club & others further bolstered his thriving fine menswear business.  Brodeur says, “the first 6 years were so much fun to grow my personal client list while getting involved in so many wonderful causes to serve the community”.

In 1999, Ron founded Brodeur Custom Clothiers and relocated his showroom to North Naples, then moving to a Bonita Springs showroom just a few years later in 2002. This strategic move allowed him to serve both his Naples and Fort Myers clients with utmost convenience and sophistication.

The subsequent year witnessed the birth of Brodeur Carvell Fine Menswear, with the addition of Rob Carvell, who was a top sales associate at Jacobson’s. Rapid growth followed the company’s launch, as the expert Clothiers catered to clients in two full-service retail stores located at Fifth Avenue in Naples, and Cypress Lake Drive in Fort Myers. They also had a small lobby resort shop at the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point for 5 years.  It was a prosperous chapter infused with area residents reveling in local shopping for custom menswear along with trending business and casual attire from coveted brands. The Brodeur Carvell brand emerged as a reputable local presence throughout SWFL.

In 2009, the market downturn adversely impacted countless local businesses, including Brodeur Carvell. The market crash and real estate slump led to the closure of two locations, yet the Fort Myers shop persevered. Here, Ron and Rob continued delivering unparalleled customer service to their extensive list of clients. Brodeur shared, “those few years after the crash were by far the most stressful years of my 30 year career in men’s clothing.”  In 2012, Brodeur Carvell premiered a luxurious retail store in Bell Tower Shops, catering to both men and women, eventually returning to its forte of exclusive menswear after seven years.

Towards the end of October 2022, Rob Carvell bid farewell to the business after an impressive 19-year tenure to pursue a career in Christianity. In early November of the same year, Ron Brodeur debuted a new location at Studio RK Plaza, a mere five weeks following the devastating Hurricane Ian. Ron showcased admirable resilience during this challenging period for the community, diligently serving clients throughout the SWFL region, while actively contributing to various local initiatives.

Over the years, Ron’s dedication and unwavering commitment to the fine menswear industry have been paramount. His entrepreneurial spirit and unyielding passion for his business have fueled his success, enabling him to overcome any obstacles that came his way.

Today, Ron Brodeur upholds his esteemed affiliation with the Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce, while prospering at his well-appointed Fort Myers location. Together with the newly appointed Personal Clothier, Mike Smith, a seasoned professional with six years of experience in Naples, they continue to offer discerning individuals an impressive selection of fine menswear options for both business and leisure.
