More About the Jazz Ensemble
The Gulf Coast Youth Jazz Ensemble is a community-based jazz ensemble for
students throughout the Southwest Florida region. It provides performance and
learning opportunities outside of the general classroom, expanding their musical
journeys through jazz.

MusicWorks! is an El-Sistema based program whose primary goal is to empower children
to achieve their full potential through the study and performance of music. Students in grades 2-6
learn an instrument from the string family (violin, viola, cello, bass), and perform both as a string
