“This grant provides the funding necessary to train up to 150 new hires for the company,” said Dr. Robert R. Jones, vice president, economic development and external affairs, FSW. “That’s more jobs for our southwest Florida region.”
Herc Holdings Inc., which operates through its Herc Rentals Inc. subsidiary, is one of the leading equipment rental suppliers with approximately 275 locations, principally in North America. Its corporate headquarters is located in Bonita Springs, Fla. The company has approximately 4,900 employees. Herc Holdings’ 2017 total revenues were approximately $1.75 billion. The QRT grant lasts for one year and is targeted on the highly customized training programs that companies need to improve the transferable skill base of new hires. HBKS® Wealth Advisors Among Top 100 in Assets Under Management

July 18, 2018 … Erie, Pa. – HBKS® Wealth Advisors (HBKS®) is one of the nation’s top 100 registered investment advisors (RIAs) as measured by assets under management. With more than $3.5 billion under management, HBKS® ranks 95th on list of 700 firms in the 2018 ranking by Financial Advisor Magazine. HBKS® ranked 100th on the list last year and 102nd in 2016, and has been included in the rankings since 2012.

“The independent advisor channel continues to balloon,” FA Magazine reported, “RIA’s are accumulating large sums of assets. But they’re also forced to be nimble to keep up with the industry’s evolution.”

“Nimble and independent are two key reasons for the continued growth of HBKS Wealth Advisors,” noted HBKS® CEO and Managing Principal Chris Allegretti. “Clients appreciate doing business with a firm that operates locally but with the support and capabilities of a large national firm.”

“The main draw to the (RIA) channel is the idea that they will be placing the clients’ interest ahead of their own, a development the public is increasingly aware of,” the Magazine reported in its July 5 survey article.

“Considering the steadily increasing number of firms in our space and the shift of more assets to RIAs from traditional brokers, the fact that we continue to improve our ranking among RIAs confirms our strongest belief,” Allegretti said, “that most important to our own success is helping our clients grow and protect their wealth and accomplish their financial goals.”

Earlier this summer HBKS® was named to The Financial Times’ Top 300 list of independent RIA firms.

HBKS® Wealth Advisors provides wealth and asset management services to individuals, families, corporations, nonprofits and other organizations. HBKS® is a member of the HBK CPAs & Consultants family of financial service companies, a 65-year-old personal services firm offering the collective intelligence of more than 500 professionals in a wide range of tax, accounting, audit, business advisory, valuation, financial planning, wealth management and support services from offices in Pennsylvania, Ohio, New Jersey, New York and Florida. As a registered investment advisor, HBKS® operates in accordance with the highest ethical standards and according to the strictest interpretation of fiduciary responsibility. Spacious new homes going fast in gated Naples community Limited opportunities still available for homebuyers at Mockingbird Crossing

NAPLES, Fla. (July 17, 2018) – To John and Elise Herendeen, the difference is obvious. The couple is thrilled with their home in Mockingbird Crossing off Vanderbilt Beach Road after moving there from a three-bedroom, two-bath villa in East Naples.

“We were in a nice, little community, but it doesn’t compare to up here,” John Herendeen said.

Now, just a year-and-a-half after the Herendeens became the first owners in Phase II of Mockingbird Crossing, only limited opportunities remain for homebuyers in the gated D.R. Horton Southwest Florida community. Estate-sized lots in a peaceful setting offer privacy and serenity at prices that start in the high-$400s.

The Herendeens have plenty of space inside and out. They chose the 3,148-square-foot Easton floor plan, which offers three bedrooms, four-and-a-half baths and a three-car garage. They love having enough space to accommodate frequent visits from their family. They even have a dedicated room for their daughter and son-in-law, who utilize the upstairs bonus room as a bedroom.

“In addition to our master bedroom, we have two other bedrooms for our two grandkids, which feature their own baths,” Herendeen said. “Everybody has a bath.”

The abundance of space extends to the master suite, which features a large window that fills the room with natural light, a walk-in closet, a linen closet and a double-sink vanity. The island kitchen, dining room and great room are in an open design, perfect for entertaining and family gatherings. The spacious common area looks out on the sun splashed lanai, which includes a half bath for guests.

Mockingbird Crossing can accommodate families of just about any size, with eight additional floor plans ranging in size from 2,344 square feet to 5,350 square feet. Even with all its roomy features, the community still appeals to the cost-conscious. One of the things the Herendeens love most about Mockingbird Crossing is not having to pay for community amenities they wouldn’t use.

Instead, they enjoy making short trips to shop and dine at one of several new retail developments nearby.

“Ten years ago, this area was considered out in the country. Now it’s getting all the conveniences of anywhere in Naples, with nice shopping centers and restaurants,” Herendeen said. “It’s growing immensely.”

It’s not hard for them to get to well-known destinations, either. The Mercato is just a straight shot down Vanderbilt Beach Road, as is Vanderbilt Beach itself, which Herendeen said is reachable in just 35 minutes.

To learn more about the alluring convenience of Mockingbird Crossing before the homebuying opportunities run out, call sales agent Ellie Stevenson at 239-225-2600 or email SWFLonline@DRHorton.com.

ABSTRACTED GROUP ART SHOW BRINGS TOGETHER FOUR GROUNDBREAKING ARTISTS

July 16, 2018 – Fort Myers, FL – This August, four diverse artists come together for the Abstracted Group Art Show! Opening during Art Walk, Abstracted features the works of  Karen Gozzo Nolan, Michael Pohlman, Jeffrey Scott Lewis, and Yvonne Krystman. Each artist contributed works that exemplify the abstract, yet evoke powerful emotions. The Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center is located at 2301 First St. in the historic downtown Fort Myers River District.
The word abstract refers to something that exists as an idea or concept, but has no concrete meaning or physical representation. In the group art show Abstracted, the artists had the unique challenge of creating meaning out of something seemingly meaningless. Through shape, line, texture, and color, each artist brings their own interpretation of the abstract to the exhibition. For some, the translation is gritty, cold, and harsh, and for others, it’s warm, soft, and peaceful.
For artist Michael Pohlman, the abstract means “taking something familiar and placing it in an unfamiliar setting.” In Pohlman’s work, this can be seen in the clash between color and shape: soft, warm circles intermingling with harsh, jagged lines. Each artist, however, brings their own perspective to this group show, which can only be properly experienced in person. See this exhibition open on Friday, August 3rd in the Grand Atrium at 6pm.
