Five Child Care of Southwest Florida locations earn five-star ratings from Early Learning Coalition

FORT MYERS, Fla. (Sept. 6, 2018) – Child Care of Southwest Florida has announced that five of its learning centers have earned five-star ratings, the highest classification, from the Early Learning Coalition of Southwest Florida.

The top rating indicates that Child Care of Southwest Florida (CCSWFL) is offering a safe, high-quality educational environment for the children it serves.

“We gladly welcome the Coalition’s ratings team into our learning centers to showcase our curriculum, academic programs and highly trained staff,” said Chris Hansen, CEO of Child Care of Southwest Florida. “Very few child care providers in this area earn five-star ratings, so it’s especially gratifying to know that we are setting the industry standard and defining what it means to be a high-quality early learning center.”

Through the Early Learning Coalition’s “Southwest Florida Stars” program, evaluation teams rate child care centers in six areas: health and safety; professional development and staff qualifications; learning environment and classroom interactions; screening, assessment and curriculum; family and community relationships; and professional responsibility. “Southwest Florida Stars” is a voluntary accreditation program.

Child Care of Southwest Florida locations earning five-star ratings include The Children’s Learning Center at FSW (Fort Myers), Joseph H. Messina Children’s Center (Fort Myers), The Community Children’s Center (Lehigh Acres), Children’s Garden of LaBelle (LaBelle) and Harlem Academy Child Care Center (Clewiston). Both Hendry County centers improved from four to five stars this year, while the trio of Lee locations have maintained their excellent five-star ratings for the past four years.

All Child Care of Southwest Florida centers are accredited through the National Accreditation Commission for Early Learning Leaders and recognized as Gold Seal Quality Care Programs through the Florida Department of Children and Families.

“Choosing an accredited child care center is a critically important decision for parents because those initial years set the foundation for a child’s lifelong learning, which includes social, emotional and academic learning,” said Angela Anderson, Child Care of Southwest Florida’s education program manager. “We try to partner with parents to strengthen the school-to-home bridge, knowing parental involvement coupled with a strong early childhood education are key factors that predict future academic success.”

IMMOKALEE, Fla. Attendees must be 21 years of age.

Nearly 30 years after Tritt launched his music career, the Southern rock-influenced artist continues to sell-out shows and stays true and relevant to country music fans across the globe. Over the course of a decade starting in 1989, the Marietta, Georgia native released seven studio albums and a greatest hits package. His 1990 debut “Country Club” and its succession of hits put him in the vanguard of the genre’s early ’90s boom, dubbing him one of “The Class of ‘89,” which included country music superstars Garth Brooks, Clint Black and Alan Jackson; all whom dominated the charts in the early ‘90s.

“Country Club,” “Help Me Hold On,” “I’m Gonna Be Somebody,” and “Drift Off to Dream” peaked at numbers two and three on the Hot Country Singles & Tracks charts; all which led Tritt to win Top New Male Artist award from Billboard and the CMA Horizon Award (now known as the New Artist Award). Additionally, in 1991, the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) marked Tritt’s debut album “Country Club” as certified platinum.

Two years after his debut, Travis’ sophomore album, “It’s All About to Change”, was released and shipped three million copies and all four of its singles reached the top five on the country music charts. Along with his first album, this release became triple-platinum certified by the RIAA.

The next series of albums, seven of which are certified platinum or higher, scored him more hit singles and led him to amass more than 30 million in career album sales, two Grammys, three CMA Awards and a devoted fan base that has filled venues coast-to-coast.

FORT MYERS, Fla. (Sept. 5, 2018) – Two Southwest Florida nonprofits will have a home for their events on the house. Top Rocker Events at Six Bends™ is launching Property with a Purpose as part of Scott Fischer Enterprises to give two nonprofits the use of either Top Rocker Field or Thunder Plaza for free this season.

“We want to make Six Bends the home for events the community loves, and we want to give back to the community that has supported us for over 30 years,” said Scott Fischer, CEO of Scott Fischer Enterprises and Top Rocker Events. “The vision behind Property with a Purpose is to make Southwest Florida a better place — something we’re committed to doing every day.”

Locally focused nonprofits can apply on toprockerevents.com between now and Sept. 30. The primary criteria for selection is that the money raised during the event benefits the Southwest Florida community.

“The most important thing is for the benefit to stay here in Southwest Florida,” Fischer said. “There are so many worthy causes right in our backyard.”

Top Rocker Field is a gated 3.13-acre outdoor facility with room for 4,000 attendees. It has three entrances and a semitruck entrance for large events. Thunder Plaza is 20,000 square feet and can accommodate 1,000 people.

Both are at Six Bends™, a well-established name and brand that’s centrally located just off Interstate 75 and Daniels Parkway. The venue is highly visible from the interstate and convenient to the airport, hotels and ample dining and shopping. On-site and off-site parking is available, and mature landscaping lines the property.

Organizers can take advantage of a preferred partner program with well-known local vendors for event-related needs and wants. Top Rocker Events has an experienced events director on staff, and management services are available.

To qualify, nonprofits must be valid, registered and able to provide their own liability insurance. Rentals, entertainment, permitting and other costs beyond the use of the venue are not included.
