 Stevens Construction has joined the Sanibel & Captiva Islands Chamber of Commerce. We are excited to get involved and meet everyone! AN INTRODUCTION  As an introduction to Stevens Construction, building a commercial building is just a part of what we do. We are involved early in the process to ensure a project achieves our client’s budget and schedule long before construction begins. Additionally, Stevens Construction has a Special Projects Division that focus on projects under $1M that mostly consist of repairs, renovations, build-outs and additions. We understand that many of you need construction services after hurricane Ian. We are helping your neighbors The Island Cow, Sanibel Community Church and Sanibel Congregational United Church of Christ on their post Ian repairs.  WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT? Prior to construction, we help clients navigate the challenges that come with constructing a new building or renovating an existing property, such as: · -Is renovating your existing or storm damaged building even feasible? -Due diligence of a potential site or existing building to determine if it is ideal for the project. · -Assembly and coordination of the design team including civil engineers and architects. · -Because we are involved early, we work with the design team and client as the project is being designed, identifying anything in the plans that may present budget challenges and recommend more cost-effective alternatives. · -All building materials, methods and systems are carefully researched to ensure availability— a critical step in this time of shortages. Anything with long lead times that do not align with the schedule, a comparable product or material is recommended that does. · -We provide clients with detailed budgets and schedules at design milestones before construction begins offering owners an opportunity to make changes if the schedule and budget are not as they anticipated.
