“14k Savage” is a provocative examination of how money and greed impact the environment and humanity from local artist Brian Weaver. Each piece explores how money has taken over all the aspects of our lives without regard for the future of the planet and the human race. Also opening on Friday, June 1st, the June Juried Exhibition will feature works from artists who submitted under the theme “X”. The exhibition theme “X” was created in honor of the Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center’s 10th anniversary season. The most thematically relevant pieces were chosen for exhibition. Winners of Best in Show, SBDAC Pick, and People’s Choice receive cash prizes. Best in Show and SBDAC Pick will be announced on opening night, Friday, June 1st.
