Note to Media: Nearly 100 creative kids will receive awards, and local schools will get much-needed funding. The fifth-graders created winning designs for decorative front-end license plates in their art classes through the fourth annual Lee County Tax Collector Kids Tag Art program. The Tax Collector’s Office is presenting a $34,000 check to the School District of Lee County with money raised through sponsorships and the sale of the tags. Award of Distinction certificates will go to two students from each of the 48 participating schools.
