Alliance for the Arts Awarded $100,000 from Genesis Inspiration Foundation

FORT MYERS, FL (August 9, 2022)- Alliance for the Arts has been awarded a grant of $100,000 by the Genesis Inspiration Foundation to be used towards art programs for kids and families. The Genesis Inspiration Foundation believes that when children are inspired, they create.

On August 11 at 10:00 a.m, the Alliance will be hosting members from the Genesis Inspiration Foundation, as well as local Genesis dealership owners, Alliance Board members and select press representatives. This event is not open to the general public. This will be a celebration of the generous gift. It will feature artwork created by children from each of the four sessions of Summer Arts Camp as well as a tour of the campus.

Alliance for the Arts plans to utilize the gift towards capacity building. This will include hiring an assistant to the Education Coordinator to focus on programs directly related to children and families, additional family centered art programs, camps, and expanding the Family Art Labs beyond the McGregor corridor.
