Joining a committee is simple:

- Attend a committee meeting as a guest to experience the dynamic firsthand
- Speak with the committee chair about specific opportunities for involvement
Most committees meet monthly for approximately one hour, with additional time commitments varying based on ongoing projects and your level of involvement. Each committee has its own attendance policy and committee requirements.
Committee Leadership Pathway
Many of our Board members began their Chamber leadership journey through committee involvement. The progression often follows this path:
- Committee Member – Contribute expertise and perspective to committee initiatives
- Project Leader – Head specific initiatives within the committee structure
- Committee Vice-Chair – Support the chair in committee operations and planning
- Committee Chair – Lead the committee in achieving annual goals
- Board Consideration – Demonstrate leadership qualities that may lead to Board nomination
This leadership pathway provides valuable experience while creating visibility among Chamber leadership for future opportunities.
