What would Southwest Florida be without its music?

Dear Gulf Coast Symphony Family,

Imagine a community where the Gulf Coast Symphony did not exist. Where
there was almost no music education, or an opportunity for a child to learn to
play a violin, or hear Mozart played live.

Now, more than ever, it becomes our responsibility to ensure that our great musical
tradition and the diverse music we cherish remain part of the Southwest Florida land-
scape.

It would not take much for the wonderful concerts the Gulf Coast Symphony presents
each year to disappear.

Each of us must show we care, and one important way to show our love and apprecia-
tion is with our dollars, by making a tax-deductible donation.

Ticket sales account for only half of our budget. And with expenses continually on the
rise, and government support for the arts in decline, as well as very limited grant oppor-
tunities, we have few options to maintain the quality of the shows we love. One option
might be to double or triple our ticket prices, which could be difficult for many of our
patrons to sustain and threaten our long-term future.

So I ask you to dig deep and support us with your most generous tax-deductible contribution
before the end of our fiscal year on June 30. Whether your gift is $10 or $10,000, what matters
is that you are a part of our community of supporters.

For those of you who have already contributed to our year-end campaign, you have our deepest
gratitude. If not, please take a moment to make your gift today, or contact me, andrew@gulfcoast-
symphony.org, to make a pledge, or arrange a gift over time.

With my deepest gratitude, musically yours,

Andrew M. Kurtz and the GCS Musical Family
