The World Has Turned Upside Down and Is Not Likely to Turn Right Side Up Again

FORT MYERS, Fla. – Florida Gulf Coast University’s (FGCU) Office of the Provost invites the SWFL community to attend the Provost’s Seminar Series on Thursday, March 12, 2026.
In partnership with the Naples Discussion Group, FGCU is proud to welcome Dr. Luis Martínez-Fernández, Pegasus Professor of History at the University of Central Florida. Dr. Martínez-Fernández will discuss “The World Has Turned Upside Down and Is Not Likely to Turn Right Side Up Again,” exploring the political and cultural transformations impacting our world.
Doors open at 2:45 p.m., and the event begins at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 12, 2026, in Margaret Antonier Hall (Academic Building 9), Room 106.
