What’s Blooming?

The Queen’s Crape Myrtle

The Queen’s Crape Myrtle (Lagerstroemia speciosa) is
blooming with large pale purple blossoms! It makes a
beautiful shade tree, growing quickly to give you a nice
medium-sized tree to shade your garden. They are native
to Southeast Asia and can grow up to 30 feet or more.
They need a full sun area to get the most vibrant blooms
and their bloom season is much longer than other varieties,
beginning in spring and lasting into fall. This one is located
in our Garden Shoppe, above the Mrs. Thomas A. Edison
Memory Garden bench near the Queen’s Crape Myrtles that
we currently have for sale.
