Red Sox announce 15th annual Swings for the Sox golf tournament
Monies raised will provide $80,000 in scholarships for local high-school students
The Red Sox Foundation will celebrate 15 years of its annual Swings for the Sox golf tournament in 2026.
Since its inception, this community outreach effort has raised more than $759.400 for local charities and specifically $674,400 for their local scholarship program.
The tournament will take place on Friday, October 2 at the Tiburón Golf Club’s Gold Course located at 2620 Tiburón Drive in Naples.
A scramble format with prizes for the longest drive, putting, closest to the pin and more will begin at 8:30 a.m. after registration at 7:15 a.m. A continental breakfast will be included as well as a buffet lunch.
All proceeds from this year’s tournament will benefit the Lee County Red Sox Scholarship program. Each year, the Red Sox Foundation awards a $5,000 college scholarship to one deserving student from each of the public high schools in Lee County and one student from a Lee County charter and ALS school for a total of 16 scholarships worth $80,000.
This year’s title sponsor is once again Naples’ Bone Hook Brewing and Craft Kitchen which joins
Homerun sponsor Sunbelt Rentals, returning Golf Ball sponsor Galloway Ford, Beverage Cart sponsor Marquis Wealth Management Group and tournament sponsor Chouinard, Massie, & Reilly CPA’s.
Tournament sponsorships are available from $350. Foursome player packages begin at $1,200. All golfers will receive a Greyson Hoodie, duffle bag and custom Red Sox branded gifts. There will also be one-of-a-kind silent auction items for golfers to bid on.
Raffle items that can be used to aid in raising money for the Red Sox Foundation’s scholarship fund and additional funds for those in need throughout Southwest Florida are being accepted.
