Feature Lectures iPhone-ography April 9 | 9:30 – 11:30am | Wednesday Naples Center / Online via Zoom If you love taking photos with your iPhone but can’t figure out how to capture anything more than simple snapshots and you’d like to take incredible photos with the camera that you always have in your pocket, then this course is for you. We discuss the features of the camera and how to use them properly along with how to deal with the myriad ways to edit and organize your photos. Introduction to Photoshop Elements April 14, 16, 18 | 9:30 – 12:30pm | Mon / Wed / Fri Naples Center Participants must have a working knowledge of computers and should bring their own laptops with Photoshop Elements (latest version) installed. In this hands-on lecture, basic and advanced beginner Photoshop Elements techniques are ex- plored. Topics include RAW conversion, rotating photographs, layers, straightening horizons, color adjustments, removing or minimizing wrinkles and blemishes, adding or eliminating items from a scene, changing the color of a particular object in a scene, changing from color to black and white or sepia, moving parts of one picture to another picture and adding text. Love and Treachery – Edward VIII and Wallis Simpson April 16 | 2 – 3:30pm | Wednesday Pelican Bay Community Center King Edward VIII relinquished the English throne and left his country to marry Wallis Simpson, an American divorcee. For- bidden to enter England, they spent their lives in exile. Surely this is a love story for the ages! But was it? Did Wallis even like Edward? Was Edward a loyal Englishman? Close exam- ination and new evidence reveal a different picture. Director Instructed Lectures iPhone/iPad Apps: Master Organization with Notes April 8 | 10:30 – 12pm | Tuesday Naples Center / Online via Zoom The Notes app is the best place to jot down quick thoughts or to save checklists, images, web links, scanned documents, handwritten notes or sketches. With iCloud, it’s easy to keep all your devices in sync, so you’ll always have your notes with you. You can search notes for typed text, handwritten notes, text in scanned documents and even images inside your notes. Secure the notes that hold your most personal data – such as financial details, medical information, or se- cret family recipes with a password, a fingerprint or even Face ID.
