Samantha Zelnik Takes the Spotlight—
Blauth  Concertino for Oboe & Strings!

Get ready for a performance like no other this weekend at our Dead
Elvis and Soldier’s Tale concert – featuring the one and only Sam-
antha Zelnik! Samantha is in her third year of her Gulf Coast Symph-

and English Horn position with the Savannah Philharmonic this past
summer and splits her time between Florida and Georgia.  Sam has
also performed with the Augusta Symphony, Firelands Symphony
Orchestra and the Naples Camerata. And, she’s also the go-to reed
maker for students and professionals alike. Brazilian composer Breno
Blauth’s Concertino for Oboe & Strings is a charming work, with fab-
ulous Brazilian rhythms and showcases the lyricism of the oboe.

The rest of the concert is just as exciting.  DEAD ELVIS features second
year orchestral fellow and principal bassoonist, Elizabeth Perez, who will
be bringing the King of Rock and Roll back to life… in full Elvis costume.
Yes, you read that right—Elizabeth is rocking the Bassoon and an Elvis
jumpsuit, channeling Elvis like you’ve never seen before. You won’t want
to miss it!

TALE will close the concert. The work is for actor, dancers and musicians and
