Bonita Springs, Fla. (Dec. 17, 2025) — The American Cancer Society (ACS) is proud to announce an exciting new chapter for Southwest Florida: the Relay For Life events of Greater Lee and Greater Collier have officially merged, uniting communities for an even stronger and more impactful movement in the fight against cancer.
The newly combined Relay For Life of Southwest Florida will take place on Saturday, March 6, 2026, from 6 – 9 p.m. at Bonita Springs High School in Bonita Springs, Florida.
The American Cancer Society is also honored to announce Amber’s Antibodies as the Presenting Sponsor of the 2026 Relay For Life Southwest Florida. A longtime Relay partner and 100% volunteer nonprofit, Amber’s Antibodies has been deeply embedded in Southwest Florida’s cancer support community for decades.
A Combined Event to Strengthen Community Impact
The merger of the Lee and Collier Relay For Life events reflects the region’s growing energy, collaboration, and commitment to building a stronger, more connected Relay community. By uniting teams, volunteers, survivors, schools, and partners, this newly combined Relay is designed to be more impactful and energizing, bringing together an even broader community of survivors, caregivers, and supporters. It also creates a more sustainable and supportive model that maximizes mission impact while strengthening the collective spirit that drives Southwest Florida forward in the fight against cancer.
“Bringing Lee and Collier together creates a Relay that truly reflects the heart of Southwest Florida. When our communities stand side by side, the hope feels bigger, the energy feels stronger, and the impact we can make becomes limitless,” said Janet Sigler, Relay For Life of Southwest Florida Event Lead and ACS Volunteer. “This is Southwest Florida at its best—united, determined, and ready to make an even greater impact.”
A larger, regional Relay means expanded opportunities for participation, a bigger and more inspiring Survivor Celebration, increased community visibility, and an event filled with renewed energy, connection, and purpose. This merger honors the traditions that make Relay For Life so meaningful, while building an even stronger, more vibrant future together as one united community.
