Children’s Advocacy Center of Southwest Florida Announces Partnership with Music Has Healing Power to Bring Healing Through Music
Fort Myers, FL — The Children’s Advocacy Center of Southwest Florida (CACSWFL) is proud to announce a new partnership with Music Has Healing Power, a California-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to making music accessible to all and harnessing its ability to heal, connect, and uplift people facing adversity. Founded in 2018 by Bruce Lowe, Founder and CEO of both Music Has Healing Power and Cinema Show Music, the organization works to provide instruments, music resources, and transformative experiences that support emotional well-being and resilience.
At the heart of this collaboration is the belief that music can reach deep into the human spirit, especially when words are hard to find. Music Has Healing Power, together with partners Savage 4×4, Remo Inc., and Gibson Gives, recently donated an array of musical instruments to the Children’s Advocacy Center including acoustic guitars, an acoustic-electric guitar, an acoustic-electric Les Paul ukulele, drums, and more. These instruments were delivered last month with the help of community partners and a very special visit from Santa Claus, creating a joyful and memorable moment for clients and staff alike.
Because of this generous gift, children and families served by CACSWFL now have access to musical tools that will support healing, comfort, and self-expression within therapeutic sessions and community activities. These instruments will offer a creative outlet for emotions, foster connection between clients and caregivers, and create new pathways for resilience during difficult times.
“Music has a powerful way of reaching hearts, especially when words are hard to find,” said Melissa Bonner, Chief Operating Officer of the Children’s Advocacy Center of Southwest Florida. “We are deeply grateful to Music Has Healing Power and our partners for their meaningful contribution. These instruments will help bring moments of joy, comfort, and connection to the children and families we serve.”
Bruce Lowe, Founder and CEO of Music Has Healing Power and Cinema Show Music, shares a vision of music as a universal language that transcends barriers and supports healing in every community it touches. His leadership and the mission of Music Has Healing Power have helped bring hope and musical resources to hospitals, families, and individuals across the country.
This partnership marks an important milestone in CACSWFL’s commitment to holistic healing and enrichment for its clients. By integrating music into the agency’s therapeutic programs, CACSWFL expands its continuum of care helping children and families find strength, voice, and joy through creative expression.
