The text messages list fictitious transactions and ask the member if the transactions were authorized. When the member responds, “no” the imposter calls the member, stating they are from the Achieva Credit Union Fraud Department. If you receive a call like this, hang up and call Achieva at 800.593.2274 and press option 8. If you receive a call like this outside of business hours, file a report at www.achievacu.com/Home/SecurityAwareness. Achieva Credit Union will NEVER ask you to log in from a text message link. We WILL NOT text or call to ask for your account username, password, pins, or verification codes. Guard against imposter calls: – Achieva Credit Union will NEVER call outside regular working hours. – We will NEVER ask you for your Personal Identification Number (PIN) for your Debit Card. – We will NEVER ask you for your Online Banking Password. We will NEVER ask you to set up an Apple Pay, Google Pay, Cash App, or any other account like that. – We will NEVER ask you to provide a One-Time Passcode (OTP). We will NEVER ask you to transfer money from your account to another account. |
