JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT RECOGNIZED AS BEST OVERALL CHARITY EVENT 

Awarded by the Community Foundation Charity Event for their Annual Business Hall of Fame

FORT MYERS, Fla. – April 11, 2025Junior Achievement of Southwest Florida received the Best Overall Charity Event Award for its Business Hall of Fame event from The Community Foundation. On Tuesday, April 8, 2025, the annual Charity Event Awards took place to celebrate and recognize excellence in philanthropy and event planning by honoring organizations, individuals, and teams that elevate charitable events and initiatives to new heights. 

Nominees in the Best Overall Charity Event category were considered based on creativity, execution, and measurable success. Junior Achievement of Southwest Florida’s annual Business Hall of Fame recognizes and celebrates local forward-thinking influential leaders, known as Laureates, who have made a significant impact, created new opportunities, and elevated the educational landscape for youth in their communities regarding financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and work readiness. It serves as the organization’s primary fundraising event and uniquely allows Junior Achievement of Southwest Florida to honor the contributions made by these selfless leaders, fundraise for its mission, and expose students to inspirational mentors.

The 37th annual Business Hall of Fame, recently held in March 2025, raised over $300,000 with more than 400 professionals in attendance. The 2025 laureates inducted include Timothy Cartwright, Partner and Co-Founder at Fifth Avenue Family Office; William Price, Jr., Board Chairman, and Matthew Price, Chief Executive Officer, both with Seagate Development Group; and Aysegul Timur, Ph.D., President of Florida Gulf Coast University, into the Junior Achievement of Southwest Florida Business Hall of Fame.
