Halloween Comes Early as Fort Myers Brewing Kicks Off SummerWeen and the Sundown Concert Series
Saturday, Sept. 5 brings costumes, watermelon carving and live music from Rock Republic as Fort Myers Brewing celebrates Halloween-in-September.
Fort Myers, FL – [August 25, 2026] Need a little something to get you through the dog days of summer? Fort Myers Brewing Company is bringing back SummerWeen, its beloved Halloween-in-September celebration, on Saturday, Sept. 5. The community favorite returns with specialty beers, Spyk’d Seltzer IV Bags, live music from Rock Republic and a full lineup of local food trucks, all wrapped in the spooky-meets-summer spirit fans look forward to every year.
Why it’s a must-cover:
- Costume contests for all ages: a kids’ contest at 6:30 p.m. and an adults’ contest at 6:45 p.m.
- Fan-favorite watermelon carving contest – guests can bring pre-carved watermelons by 5 p.m. for judging and a chance to win
- Live music from Rock Republic kicking off the brewery’s new Sundown Concert Series
- Family- and pup-friendly atmosphere with doors opening at noon
- Costumes highly encouraged for a full day of over-the-top, photo-ready fun
“SummerWeen has grown into one of the most beloved days on our calendar. We get to pour some of our most fun, limited-batch beers and Spyk’d Seltzer flavors made just for this event, then watch three generations of the same family show up in costume for it,” said Jen Whyte, co-founder of Fort Myers Brewing Company. “It’s silly, it’s delicious, and it’s exactly the kind of community day we love hosting.”

About the Sundown Concert Series
SummerWeen kicks off Fort Myers Brewing’s new Sundown Concert Series, seven Saturdays of live music running September 5 through October 17. The series pairs local and regional musical acts each week with the brewery’s specialty beers, Spyk’d Seltzer, and a rotating lineup of local food trucks, and closes on October 17 with Rock Republic returning to headline Oktoberfest.
VIP Experience wristbands ($30 each, or 4 for $100) grant expedited line access and reserved seating at every concert date and go on sale at the brewery starting Monday, August 31. Commemorative posters ($15, or bundled with a wristband for $40) are available exclusively at Fort Myers Brewing starting September 5.
