Florida SouthWestern State College to Host Free Tax Preparation Events Across Four Campuses

MARCH 3, 2026 – FORT MYERS, FLA. – Florida SouthWestern State (FSW) College’s School of Business and Technology is partnering with United Way to offer free tax preparation services for qualifying households this March.

IRS-certified United Way volunteers will prepare taxes at no cost for households earning $70,000 or less per year through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program.

Services will be available by appointment only at the following locations:

FSW Lee Campus Tuesday, March 3, noon–5 p.m. Building K, Room 107

FSW Charlotte Campus Wednesday, March 4,noon–4 p.m. Building D, Room 207

FSW Hendry/Glades Curtis Center Tuesday, March 10, noon–4 p.m. Building A, Room 110

FSW Collier Campus Wednesday, March 11, noon–4 p.m. Building J, Room 120

Appointments are required. Individuals may register by calling 239-433-3900.

The VITA program is a United Way collaborative designed to provide trusted, IRS-certified tax preparation services to help eligible families maximize refunds and avoid preparation fees.
