Calling All Cameras: Dads, Braids & Big Smiles Take Center Stage at “Daddy Did My Hair” Night in Fort Myers
Fort Myers, FL – April 22, 2025 – The Children’s Advocacy Center of Southwest Florida invites the media to experience a heartwarming and highly visual community event that’s redefining the way we think about fatherhood.
Today, Tuesday, April 22, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM, the Level Up Dads program will host its second annual “Daddy Did My Hair” event at the Paul Mitchell School in Fort Myers—and it’s a story you won’t want to miss.
This one-of-a-kind evening features local dads rolling up their sleeves and picking up combs, clips, and curling irons as they learn hands-on hairstyling skills—with expert guidance from future stylists at the Paul Mitchell School. But what makes this event truly newsworthy? The joy, laughter, and meaningful connections being built between fathers and their children.
“This isn’t just about hair—it’s about showing up, being present, and making memories that last a lifetime,” says JJ Wheeler, Director of Prevention Services and founder of Level Up Dads. “We’re creating confident dads and happy kids—one braid at a time.”
Visual Opportunities Include:
- Dads and kids learning side-by-side
- Paul Mitchell students coaching families in hairstyling techniques
- Heartfelt father-child interactions in a colorful, upbeat salon setting
- Interviews with dads, kids, student stylists, and program leaders
Media are invited to attend, capture B-roll, conduct interviews, and help spotlight the power of intentional parenting.
To arrange on-site coverage or interview access in advance, please contact JJ Wheeler at [email protected] or 239-939-2808.
