A Dazzling Revue of Broadway’s Greatest Leading Ladies Southwest Florida Theatre Company proudly presents Jerry’s Girls, a celebra- tion of the legendary Broadway composer and lyricist Jerry Herman. Opening at the MACC on April 9, this vibrant musical revue pays tribute to Herman’s iconic songs and the unforgettable female characters who brought them to life. Jerry Herman, one of Broadway’s most beloved composers, gave the world Hello, Dolly!, Mame, and La Cage aux Folles, among many others. His work is known for its joyous energy, heartfelt melodies, and empowering roles for women. Jerry’s Girls first dazzled audiences in 1981 as a nightclub act before evolving into a full- scale Broadway production in 1985, starring three powerhouse performers: Chita Rivera, Dorothy Loudon, and Leslie Uggams. Packed with showstopping numbers like “I Am What I Am,” “Before the Parade Passes By,” and “If He Walked Into My Life,” Jerry’s Girls is a love letter to Broadway’s most dynamic divas. The show highlights Herman’s ability to create strong, charismatic female leads—women who own the stage and steal the spot- light. Don’t miss this chance to experience an evening of timeless music, dazzling per- formances, and pure Broadway magic. 🎭 Jerry’s Girls 📅 Opening Night: April 9 📍 Music & Arts Community Center Secure your seats now and let the parade pass by with you in it! 239.277.1700 | GulfCoastSymphony.org ![]() |
