From Strings to Jazz to Theater — Camps for Every Passion Looking for a creative, fun, and meaningful way to keep the kids engaged this summer? The Gulf Coast Symphony’s Summer Music Camps offer three unique opportunities for children and teens to explore the performing arts, grow their skills, and make lasting memories.  Whether your young one loves playing an instrument, belting out show tunes, or jamming in a jazz band, there’s a camp for them at the Music & Arts Community Center in Fort Myers! 🎯 Find the Perfect Fit for Your Young Musician or Performer! 🎻 MusicWorks! String Orchestra Camp Grades 2–7 (and 8–9 with teacher approval) Session I June 9–20 | $400 Session II July 7-18 | $400 Students will learn to play a string instrument (violin, viola, cello, or bass*) and perform as part of both small ensembles and a full string orchestra in this El Sistema-inspired camp. Classes include group and individual instruct- ion, music theory, music history, and ensemble work. 📍 MusicWorks! is held Monday–Friday, 9 AM–4 PM at the Music & Arts Community Center (MACC) 🗓️ Sign-up deadline for Session I: Saturday, June 7 🎓 Some scholarships available based on need — use the form at gulfcoastsymphony.org 🎠End-of-week performances each Friday  * Full-size bass not provided — students must bring their own instrument.  🎷 Jazz Ensemble Camps Held at the MACC | $100 for six classes Students must have at least two years of experience and be proficient in read- ing music. Instrumentation is based on traditional Big Band and admittance may be determined by section availability or audition. Teacher discretion applies based on grade and ability. High School Ensemble (Grades 9–12) Mondays, June 9–July 14 | 6–8 PM Limited availability. Admission based on instrumentation needs and/or audition. Middle School Ensemble (Grades 6–8) Tuesdays, June 10–July 15 | 6–8 PM No audition required. Open enrollment. đź“… Performance details TBA  🎠Triple Threat Musical Theater Camp Shakespeare’s Musical Theatre Time Machine Grades 2–12 Session I July 7–11 | $250 Session II July 14–18 | $250 A high-energy one-week musical theater intensive where students build skills in acting, singing, and choreography while working with professional directors and choreographers.
