Community Concert Association Announces 2027 Season

COMMUNITY CONCERT ASSOCIATION ANNOUNCES 2027 SEASON;

TICKETS NOW ON SALE FOR FIVE RARE PERFORMANCES

 FORT MYERS, FLA., June 18, 2027 – Internationally-acclaimed performers from the Ukraine, Argentina, Switzerland and the U.S. will headline the five concerts planned for 2027 by the Fort Myers Community Concert Association.

Season tickets are now on sale for the five-performance season, which organizers say brings the best in symphony orchestras, chamber music, song and dance to Southwest Florida.  All performances will be at the Barbara B. Mann Performing Arts Hall on the Florida SouthWestern State College campus in Fort Myers.

“We are so happy to bring back the National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine for an encore performance.  They delighted our audience at their first appearance here in 2017 and I’m sure they will deliver an equally impressive concert as will our other artists from around the world,” said Community Concert Association President Mary Lee Mann.

All five concerts are included in one ticket price, which ranges from $165 for prime orchestra and mezzanine seats to $155 for other orchestra and mezzanine seats, $85 for lower balcony seating and just $65 for upper balcony.

The five performances all begin at 7:30 p.m.:

●            Manhattan Chamber Players – January 12, 2027. This collective of New York-based musicians shares the common aim of performing the greatest works in the chamber

repertoire at the highest level. Formed in 2015 by Artistic Director and violist Luke Fleming, the Manhattan Chamber Players is comprised of musicians who come from making music at the Marlboro Music Festival, Steans Institute of Ravinia, Music@Menlo, Yellow Barn Chamber Music Festival and Perlman Music Program, and are former students of the Curtis Institute, Juilliard School, Colburn School and New England Conservatory.

●             Opera’s Top Hits Performed by Great International Voices – January 19, 2027.

Concerto Soloists International is a group of world class singers performing a concert program of opera’s most popular selections.  Beautiful projections illustrate the story of each selection with Master of Ceremonies Giorgio Latav introducing each piece for soloists Nathan Snyder, Johnnie Felder, Gustavo Feulien, Carlos Alberto Lopez, Kristin Sampson and Claire Tendl.

●            The National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine – February 10, 2027. Formed by the Council of Ministers of Ukraine in 1918, the National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine is considered one of the finest symphony orchestras in Eastern Europe. Since 1993, the NSOU has released more than 100 recordings including both Ukrainian and international repertoire. The NSOU has performed throughout the world and is currently under the artistic direction of Volodymyr Sirenko with Chief Conductor of the Orchestra Oleksandr Hornostai as its managing director and producer.

            The Festival Strings of Lucerne with Violinist Midori – February 24, 2027. Since its inception in 1956, the Festival Strings Lucerne has embarked on numerous extensive tours across all five continents. The orchestra’s collaborations with exceptional musical partners have always played a key role in its development including its most recent with acclaimed violinist Midori.  The orchestra was founded as a string ensemble with harpsichord accompaniment and since 2012 has been under the artistic direction of Daniel Dodds. Under his leadership, the orchestra has performed an increasing amount of symphonic repertoire in expanded formations without a conductor, led by its concertmaster.

●            Tango Argentina – March 10, 2027. Tango Argentina is a powerhouse of Argentine culture—a thrilling spectacle of movement, music and modern theatricality. At the core of this production are eight world-class dancers led and choreographed by internationally celebrated tango artists Guillermo De Fazio and Giovanna Dan and a live orchestra featuring piano, bandoneón, violin, and double bass, under the musical direction of the Fabrizio Mocata.

The Fort Myers Community Concert Association, now in its 77th concert season, is an all-volunteer not-for-profit organization founded by the legendary Barbara B. Mann in 1949 to bring world-class entertainment to Southwest Florida at affordable prices.  The association consists of more than 1,200 members, underwriters and sponsors.  Performers brought to Fort Myers in the past by the association include The Israel Ballet, The Boston Brass, Violin Virtuoso Itzhak Perlman, Cleveland Orchestra, Vienna Boys Choir, Pianist Andre Watts, Violinist Joshua Bell with the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields and many others.
