Large national pest control companies are bringing in temporary sales crews from across the country to knock on doors throughout SWFL. These representatives are not local. They are assigned to Southwest Florida for a short-term sales push and then move on to the next city or state.

They do not live here. They do not work here year-round. And they are not specialists in Southwest Florida pest pressures. Their objective is simple — secure as many signed agreements as possible while they’re in town.

We’ve heard from homeowners that some of these sales reps use high-pressure tactics, make questionable claims about competitors, or gloss over important contract details just to get a signature.

Before signing anything at your door, please watch for these red flags:
● “Today only” discounts or urgency pressure
● Negative or inaccurate statements about your current provider
● Long-term agreements that include cancellation penalties of $300, $500, even $1,000+ to get out of
● Unclear answers about where their local office is located

Always read the contract carefully.
