Children’s Advocacy Center of Southwest Florida Receives $10,000 Grant from Robert J. Gunterberg Charitable Foundation to Expand Prevention Programs

FORT MYERS, FL (Date) — The Children’s Advocacy Center of Southwest Florida (CAC) is honored to announce a $10,000 grant from the Robert J. Gunterberg Charitable Foundation. This generous contribution will directly support and expand CAC’s prevention programs, which are vital in educating the community and safeguarding children from abuse and neglect.

The Robert J. Gunterberg Charitable Foundation, based in Cape Coral, Florida, is a private foundation committed to supporting nonprofit organizations, particularly in Lee County, Florida, and Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. The foundation has a history of philanthropy, providing grants to various organizations that align with its mission.

“We are deeply grateful to the Robert J. Gunterberg Charitable Foundation for their generous support,” said Alicia Shannon, CEO of CAC. “This funding will enable us to broaden our prevention initiatives, reaching more families and children with essential education and resources to prevent abuse before it occurs.”

CAC’s prevention programs include parenting classes offered in English, Spanish, and Creole, as well as community education for adults and children. These programs aim to equip individuals with knowledge and tools to recognize, prevent, and respond to abuse effectively.
