The ARCHway (Awareness, Recovery, Community and Health) Institute for Addictive Disease and Co-Existing Mental Health Disorders was founded in St. Louis in 2013 as a response to unmet community needs for both those battling substance abuse disorder and their families. There is a growing need for individuals in early recovery to find resources and financial assistance to meet basic needs and other costs in early recovery.  Due to a small dedicated staff and the zeal of passionate volunteers whose lives had been affected by substance use disorder and mental illness, ARCHway has grown to be active in seven states and helped people find resources nationwide. For many, the lack of knowledge about resources hindered their ability to turn their lives around.
