VENICE, Fla. (March 10, 2020) – Stevens Construction has completed a renovation of The Lofts, a five-story, 80,000-square-foot assisted living and memory care building within Village On The Isle, a not-for-profit life plan community, announced Mark Stevens, company president.

Located at 930 Tamiami Trail South in Venice, The Lofts were completely renovated floor-by-floor to provide as minimal disruption as possible to the 64 residents who occupy the building. To reflect Village On The Isle’s goal of providing a more residential-like experience, Stevens Construction replaced the interior finishes and exterior façade allowing for more natural lighting and modernized common areas. Improvements also included the reinvention of six different resident floor plans. The dedicated Memory Care Support floor, or what is known as a “household,” uses today’s most modern technology and design to care for those affected by Alzheimer’s and dementia. Stevens Construction also replaced the plumbing, mechanical and electrical systems of the 35-year-old building.

The Stevens Construction team includes project executive, Dan Adams; project manager, Jon Zander; superintendent, Mark Battaglia; and project administrator, Sue Ziegenfus. RLPS Architects provided the design.
