(Jan. 30, 2020) – Shell Point Retirement Community’s 2019-2020 Fine and Performing Arts Series continues its Performing Arts program with a performance entitled “Embraceable You: The Music of George Gershwin” at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 27 at The Village Church auditorium on The Island at Shell Point, 15100 Shell Point Blvd. in Fort Myers. Straight from the Broadway stage, Dean Balkwill and Lisa Ferguson Balkwill are triple threats brimming with charm and charisma, performing the music of George and Ira Gershwin – musical comedy at its finest. During the performance, guests will enjoy dance numbers, nostalgic ballads and romantic comedy, all backed by live musicians and set in the post-war Paris of 1948.
