Rotary South All-Star Classic to kick off for 30th time Lee County’s top high school senior football players competing

Note to Media: For the 30th year in a row, Lee County’s top high school senior football players will meet for the Rotary South All-Star Classic.

 

The event was founded in 1989 as the first countywide high school football all-star game in Florida. It’s designed as a sendoff and reward for seniors as well as an extra chance to get them in front of college recruiters.

 

In addition to players, each high school in the county is sending two cheerleaders, and team managers are also taking part.

 

WHAT: Rotary of Fort Myers South All-Star Classic

 

WHEN: Wednesday, Dec. 5, 7 p.m.

 

WHERE: Fort Myers High School, 2635 Cortez Blvd., Fort Myers

WHY: To showcase the top senior high school football players in Lee County
