July 13- Workshop #2

*Finding Your Grant Identify the types of grants: government grants or private foundation grants. Create a grant committee. Find partners and build coalitions. Search for matching funds. Locate websites with databases and information on grants. Know your potential funder and their mission.

July 20- Workshop #3

*Writing Your Grant Proposal & Preparing Your Budget Learn the elements of grant proposals and applications. Design a grant proposal checklist. Develop a Logic Model. Develop a program design using SMART goals, objectives, and outcomes

July 27-Workshop #4

Submitting Your Grant Proposal and Peer Review Process Create an impressive cover letter. Check and recheck the proposal requirements and timelines. Prepare for a site visit and/or oral presentation. Understand the peer review process for your grant. Track your grant application.

August 3-Workshop #5

Next Steps So, you won, understand the grant post-award phase, manage the program and budget, prepare for monitoring reports, financial recordkeeping requirements, and the end of year audit. So, you lost, request peer review comments and a debriefing, turn rejection into a win, when to resubmit. Win or lose, sustain relationships with donors and plan for future submissions.
