Federal Contracting for Veterans & Service Disabled Veterans   –  November 2   12 Noon
The Federal Government spent $ 20.6 billion on Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business (SDVOSB) contracts in 2018. This class provides an overview of the SDVOSB Federal Contracting Program as well as Veteran Owned Small Business eligibility requirements.
The government limits competition for certain contracts to businesses that participate in the SDVOSB program. Joining the disabled veterans’ business program makes your business eligible to compete for the program’s set-aside contracts. You can still compete for contract awards under other socio-economic programs you qualify for.
This training session will also include an overview of the new SBA Programs and certification processes.

#NVSBW23 Federal Contracting Event   –  November 3   9 am
The federal government’s goal is to award 3% of all federal contracts to service-disabled veteran-owned businesses (SDVOSB) each year. In fact, SDVOSBs received 4.6% of all federal contracting dollars in 2022. Government contracting offers tremendous financial opportunities for veteran-owned small businesses, but it can be difficult to compete in the federal marketplace.
The SBA and its local resource network help set veteran entrepreneurs up for success, no matter where they are in their government contracting journey – whether they’re just starting out or ready to expand their services within the federal government sector.
So please join the Florida Jacksonville and Miami District Offices, and the Veterans Business Outreach Center (VBOC) along with our invited guest, as we bring this free event in recognition to the 10th Annual National Veterans Small Business Week (NVSBW).  In order to save your virtual seat you must register to attend, by emailing [email protected] or [email protected] and if you know someone that might benefit by attending, please share this with them!
